» pete728 - Slow Battery Drain

My 1990 Toyota Camry, with just 70,000 miles on it and in perfect condition, won't start when not driven for 7 to 10 days. The Toyota mechanics with sophisticated diagnostic equipment have not been able to pinpoint the cause. They suggest I leave the car with them for an undetermined length of time, with no guarantee they will find what is wrong and, if they do, no guarantee they can fix the problem. Given the high cost of labor, I am reluctant to commit to such an iffy proposal. What might be the problem and how should I proceed to get it fixed?

Pete,,
I'm sorry to hijack this post by asking a question and not answering this problem. I posted a problem with my Mazda yesterday and can't find its' post anywehre. Can someone inform me on how to find it and any responses I might have gotten.

Thanks, and again, my apologies,

Chet

Chet, This website is difficult to nevigate, isn't it?
On the page where you found my post, scroll down and click "more
auto tech & repair discussions". Then click "2002 Chevrolet Malibu Problems"(this is the first post on the list I could find with a reply) and it will give you an idea what to expect.
NOTE THE DATES OF THE POST AND THE REPLIES!
If you care to send me your Email address, I could give you more
details about this website and also tell you about my experience in finding an answer to a car problem. Pete728
