» bkviking - car close to overheat after fluid change Have 2001 Ford Focus ZTS. 90k miles. Brought for tune up and coolant change. Afterwards, temperature guage showed car getting hot to point i had to stop nearing redline. It did this when i was increasing speed or idling. Tt never budged from its max half position for 5 years. Mechanic said it was air bubble. Now, car is getting hot again, especially at idle. Fan is working, no leaks anywhere. Mechanic put green fluid in after car had orange stuff. Any ideas? It hasn't overheat, but it get 80% to that point..and it never happened before.. -- posted by bkviking
