Gas at $16.82.9 and a Ford MustangGasoline costs $16.82.9 a Gallon and a 1999 Ford Mustang GTA guy paying $16.82.9 a gallon for gasoline and a 1999 Ford Mustang GT that misses with the A/C on.
Question: $16.82.9 Gasoline?Vince, I have just received through an AllInfoAboutAutoRepairs.com newsletter the message that gasoline has now reached over $3.00 in the USA for a gallon. However, I am in the UK, where through Government taxation, Gasoline, or Petrol as it is known here, is £8.56 per gallon at the lowest cost supplier. This means, I believe, that the UK is probably now the most expensive country from where you can purchase Petrol! Any chance of a Supply Line across the Atlantic Ocean and pay US prices for Gasoline? Regards, Andrew Porter Answer:According to my calculations, as of 6/8/07 £8.56 GBP is $16.83 US. If I had the resources I would run a pipeline from my station to the UK and only charge $8.00 US which would only be £4.07 a gallon. And don't feel bad, We have Federal, State and city taxes on our gasoline. Gas is actually only .50 a gallon; the rest is all tax. I hope you don't mind but I printed this out, made copies and handed it out to any of my customers who complain about the price of gas here. Question: 1999 Ford Mustang GTMr. Vince, My 1999 Ford Mustang GT began misfiring some time back; it's now getting worse. I have noticed that my car will run good without the A/C on. However, I live in a hot state, Texas, and need my A/C; when I do engage the A/C, my Mustang begins missing and missing badly. I have taken my car to diagnostic checks at AutoZone and Pep Boys and the Techs have found nothing wrong. However, on my own, I have noticed that when engaging or disengaging the A/C, the car misfires. Including, when I disengage the A/C, the car nearly shuts off and recently with A/C on and maneuvering through parking lots and shopping center parking lots when you have to switch from R to D in split seconds, the car, at times, has shut off. Furthermore, the car runs -- that's a plus -- but while rolling and on the last gear, my car hesitates and it resembles a tractor trailer during a "lugging" event, running on high gear at low speeds. Mr. Vince, Please help me out... Thanks... Answer:Ford has been having some problems with their Mass Air Flow sensors. So much so that it is the first thing I check whenever I get a problem like yours. I've covered this before and you can get more information at:
